The buildings by distinguished architects span more than four centuries and include a variety of styles, including colonial, Collegiate Gothic, Italianate, Romanesque and modern. The University's buildings increasingly incorporate environmental features as part of Princeton's Sustainability Plan to help conserve natural resources.
Princeton's main campus in Princeton Borough and Princeton Township consists of approximately 190 buildings on 500 acres. The University's Campus Plan provides a comprehensive strategy to guide continued development through 2016, and a new campus plan is being developed for 2026 and beyond.
